LearnLaunch Fund + Accelerator is a Boston edtech investor and accelerator that has backed 95 companies since running its first cohort in 2013 as LearnLaunchX. Its current program, Breakthrough to Scale, is a 10-week accelerator with one week on-site in Boston for early-revenue edtech and workforce-upskilling startups with at least $200,000 in annual recurring revenue, offering a two-phase, milestone-based investment: an initial sum on acceptance, with the rest tied to goals evaluated six months after the program ends. It is a separate entity from LearnLaunch Institute, the original nonprofit that still runs Boston edtech community events and conferences. Across three funds, LearnLaunch’s portfolio companies have raised more than $310 million in additional capital and reached over 72 million learners, and 66% of the companies it backs are founded or led by women or entrepreneurs of color. It was named an Emerging Impact Manager on the 2026 ImpactAssets 50 list. LearnLaunch Fund + Accelerator ranks 72nd on the 2026 TIME and Statista list of America’s Best Incubators and Accelerators.

Eligibility
• Direct-to-consumer, business-to-government, or enterprise business models
• A working product that has entered the market, typically with around $200,000 in annual recurring revenue; strong pre-revenue traction is also considered
• A revenue sweet spot of roughly $300,000-$900,000; companies generating over a couple million dollars may be too advanced for the program
• A US legal presence by the time of selection, with the ability to participate both virtually and in person for Boston Week (July) and Demo Week in New York (October)
• At least one co-founder, usually the CEO, able to commit approximately 4-5 hours per week of synchronous sessions plus 2-4 hours of asynchronous work
• Not concurrently participating in another accelerator program during the program period
• Non-profits may be considered if future funding sources are clear, structured as a royalty or revenue-style note rather than equity
Selection process
• Apply online during the open annual window; no NDA is signed, though shared materials are treated as confidential
• Applications reviewed by an evaluation committee of the program and fund team, Venture Partners, and industry experts/mentors as needed
• A cohort of five or six companies is selected, receives the initial investment, and is evaluated for follow-on funding six months after completion
Benefits
• A dedicated Venture Partner (assigned, not founder-selected) providing 1:1 guidance and executive coaching throughout the program
• Access to a network of 12 Venture Partners and 220+ mentors, plus an evaluation committee of program, fund and industry experts
• A defined set of work projects built with the cohort: a business model, product-market fit analysis, a logic model and impact-measurement roadmap, a product roadmap including AI strategy, a milestone-based outcomes plan, and a pitch deck
• For workforce-development companies specifically: market research and validation, connections to enterprise clients and workforce boards, scaling and B2B partnership mentorship, and customer acquisition/retention strategy
• Direct credits with named technology partners: AWS Activate (cloud credits), HubSpot for Startups (discounted CRM and marketing tools), and NJ Accelerate (NJEDA matching investment for New Jersey graduates)
• Per-cohort partnerships with research groups, pilot school districts and edtech communities
• A Demo Day in New York and ongoing post-program support, including introductions to customers, corporate partners and future funders
