Cintrifuse is a Cincinnati, Ohio nonprofit that runs the Venture Velocity Program, an eight-week, in-person cohort accelerator for early-stage founders preparing their first venture capital raise. Founded in 2012 out of a McKinsey study on the region’s entrepreneurial gaps, Cintrifuse operates through three connected arms: Cintrifuse itself for founder programming, Cintrifuse Capital, its venture fund with over $170M in assets under management, and StartupCincy, the ecosystem coalition it chairs. Venture Velocity invests up to $250,000 per company in exchange for 6% equity, split into an initial $100,000 tranche and a further $150,000 contingent on the founder matching it with outside capital, and runs several cohorts a year at Cintrifuse’s Union Hall coworking space. Companies must be Ohio-based, or relocate there, with at least half their leadership and all employees working from Ohio. Cintrifuse ranks 57th on the 2026 TIME and Statista list of America’s Best Incubators and Accelerators.
